Allies and partners are welcome\, but our space will center Queer Muslims and their experiences. \nAlong with Iftar\, we will show a short film\, “The Witness”\, to start a conversation about the voices that often get silenced in mainstream spaces\, and how we can start to bridge those gaps to come together as a community. \nTo us\, community is more than just a group of people – it’s a foundation for belonging. Community is what makes us feel safe\, loved and understood. It not only cultivates joy\, it also provides a resting place for grief and sorrow in a world that constantly tries to erase us. It connects us to life-saving resources to live a better life in the present\, while allowing us to come together to lay the building blocks for a better tomorrow. \nWe hope you can join us on March 11th to break fast with us and reflect in community together.
