DESCRIPTION:This event is a day dedicated to empowering young activists to be leaders of feminist activism. Feminist Day of Action is organized for feminists by feminists\, and at the same time\, provide a forum for raising general awareness around gender\, sexual\, and racial equality. Each year\, in observance of Feminist Day of Action\, we bring a feminist speaker to campus for a luncheon and Q&A. \nWe will have an AFSSA staff member provide the keynote speech for the event this year.

DESCRIPTION:In its 18th year\, this is Austin’s largest campus-based family fair\, with over 4\,000 attendees and 150 exhibitors annually! Please join us to showcase our Northeast Vertical Team family of schools and share with our community family resources\, health & dental services\, health insurance screening\, flu shots\, Blue Santa\, job fair\, housing\, education\, legal services\, after school & summer camp opportunities\, live music performances\, athletics\, children’s crafts\, pony rides\, kiddie train\, climbing wall\, petting zoo\, classic cars and motorcycles\, hundreds of free trees from Treefolks\, free free bikes\, food from Central Texas Food Bank\, free lunch and lots of fun for all ages. \nWe also have immunizations for children and adults\, flu shots and the new COVID booster (if available by that time). \n\nPromote HopeFest – In October\, we will be bringing flyers and posters to your campuses. Please put up posters and distribute flyers to all of your students and families. Please also send phone messages and social media to promote. Let you teachers know about HopeFest as well.\nVolunteers– We need around 200 volunteers each year to make HopeFest a success. Please spread to word to campus volunteers and partners who might want to help. Click HERE to sign up as a volunteer.\nFood Distribution\, Flu Shots\, COVID shots\, Blue Santa and Immunizations – Please let your families know that HopeFest is a great day to get all of these services and more.\nFree Lunch for All-It is a HopeFest tradition to provide lunch for all of our attendees and exhibitors. Lunch begins at noon with a special community presentation!\nRain or Shine!-In 17 years\, we’ve never been rained on\, but just in case\, we’ll have a rain plan and be inside.
