Queer Muslims Iftar with A Better Force + allgo

We are so grateful to be hosting another Queer Muslims Iftar party and dinner with @abetterforce and @allgoqpoc 💜

With everything going around the world, Ramadan feels heavier this year, and all three organizations wanted to host an event where Queer Muslims could be in community with one another and strengthen the ties that connect us all. Allies and partners are welcome, but our space will center Queer Muslims and their experiences.

Along with Iftar, we will show a short film, “The Witness”, to start a conversation about the voices that often get silenced in mainstream spaces, and how we can start to bridge those gaps to come together as a community.

To us, community is more than just a group of people – it’s a foundation for belonging. Community is what makes us feel safe, loved and understood. It not only cultivates joy, it also provides a resting place for grief and sorrow in a world that constantly tries to erase us. It connects us to life-saving resources to live a better life in the present, while allowing us to come together to lay the building blocks for a better tomorrow.

We hope you can join us on March 11th to break fast with us and reflect in community together. We will provide light bites with both halal and vegetarian options. Outside of that, we encourage you to bring a dish, potluck style.
