Data & Operations Intern – The Data & Operations Intern supports the Operations Team with various operational and administrative needs, such as tracking and analyzing data from programs and services, supporting grant reporting, assisting documentation and communication processes, and other administrative tasks as needed. This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail oriented, motivated to learn about program coordination, data collection and grant reporting, as well as interested in gaining experience in non-profit administration.

Prevention Intern – The Prevention Intern assists the Community Education and Outreach Manager as a part of the Community Education, Prevention, and Outreach (CE/P/O) team with prevention advocacy, tracking community responsiveness to programming, and attending and supporting with outreach events. They are eager to engage with community members and motivated to learn about non-profit prevention and outreach. (Internship currently closed)
Community Events Intern – The Community Events Intern supports the Community Education and Outreach Manager as part of the Community Education, Prevention, and Outreach (CE/P/O) team. This role focuses on the planning and execution of community events such as awareness campaigns, open mic nights, and the annual Prevention Summit. Community Events Interns support logistics and event coordination, while gaining hands-on experience in community-based harm reduction programming. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about engaging with diverse communities, organized, and eager to learn more about community outreach and public health education. (Internship currently closed)
Public Policy Intern – The Public Policy Intern assists the Public Policy Fellow and Communications Team with tracking and analyzing data, monitoring policy, as well as assisting with AFSSA’s statewide coalition and other administrative tasks as assigned. They are highly detail oriented and motivated to learn about policy and legislative advocacy. (Internship currently closed)
Development Intern – The Development Intern assists the Fund Development Manager and Development Team with tracking and analyzing data from donations and philanthropic grants, as well as supporting event planning and other administrative tasks. They are highly detail oriented and motivated to learn about non-profit development and administration. (Internship currently closed)
Legal Advocacy Intern – The Legal Advocacy Intern supports the Legal Advocacy Coordinator in providing culturally grounded and trauma-informed supportive client services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and human trafficking. Legal Advocacy Interns will work closely with the Legal Advocacy Coordinator and Direct Services Advocates to help survivors lead a safe, healthy, independent, and abuse-free life with supportive and culture-sensitive legal advocacy and support.
