Immigrant Services Network of Austin Free Families Event

AFSSA staff will be providing resources and information at the Free for Families event on Thursday, September 10 from 6 to 8 pm. Hosted by the Immigrant Services Network of Austin (ISNA) this advocacy event aims to raise awareness about the impacts of immigration raids, detention, and deportations on the immigrant community in Austin–especially children and families. This event will uplift the stories and experiences of families impacted by immigration enforcement, inform attendees about ways they can support and advocate on behalf of their immigrant neighbors, and provide folks with practical ways to take action in response to the harms of immigration enforcement through advocacy, volunteering, and supporting local organizations that serve the immigrant community. 

The event is free and food will be provided. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in a collective art activity in support of immigrant rights that will carry a message of support and solidarity with the local immigrant community. Register for the event here.
